"Every gun that is made, every warship launched,
every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft
from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold
and are not clothed."
- President Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dear Friends….
The 100th Show is over; the new album is on the way.
So here we are, after thirty years, and Barry
continues to close one door….but open another. Always
a new project, a new idea, a new
creation on the horizon.
One creation, however, that never changes, is the emotion that
fills the room before, during, and after every concert. It's overwhelming.
Barry often jokes that he'd like to lock the door
and order in a pizza. Wouldn't we all.
Somehow everything going on in the outside world
drifts away. Every concern in our personal lives diminishes.
And we are able to feel connected by the common threads that run
through us all.
In this time of the year when so many celebrate
different holidays, we hope we can remain focused on that which
brings us together…instead
of that which tears us apart.
We hope we can remember that thread of goodness.
Sometimes, Barry will close the show with the
song, "If I
Can Dream." The song talks of a better land, peace, and understanding.
Looking around the room, you can see 1700 dreamers all wondering
the same thing. If I can dream it, why can't it be?
Maybe this year it can.
To each of you…..we wish you your dreams.
For you.
For your family.
And for your world.....of everyone.
Happy New Year.....
Your family at the BMIFC.
